Outdoor Archer’s Cup
The 2014 Outdoor Archer’s Cup is a tournament intended for competitors to demonstrate their superior skills as an outdoor target archer. The tournament is a Star FITA tournament, using the World Archery Target Archery Rules, USA Archery Traditional Rules and the USA Archery dress code that will be in effect at the time of the tournament.
The Olympic, Compound who are Seniors or Masters, Longbow, Traditional Recurve and FITA Barebow archers are shooting 144 arrows at four distances. See Please see the distance summary from Texas Archery for distance for each class. For the longer distances the 122 cm target will be used. For the shorter distances the 80 cm target will be used. For Juniors and Seniors the 80 cm 5 ring target is used at the shortest distance.
The Compound archers can choose to shoot a single distance for all 144 arrows. The Senior and Masters 50, Masters 60, Masters 70, Juniors and Cadets are shooting 50 meters. The Cubs are shooting 40 meters. The Bowman are shooting 25 meters. For all compound archers, shooting a single distance, the 6 ring 80 cm target is used.
Please Note: Compound who are Seniors or Masters 50, Master 60 or Masters 70 can choose to shoot either shoot a single distance or shoot all four distances. Compound Seniors or Masters 50, Master 60 or Masters 70 archers must choose one format or the other.
The divisions are Olympic Bow (Recurve), Compound Bow, Longbow (Traditional and Modern American combined), Traditional Recurve, and FITA Barebow. World Archery Target Archery Rules are in effect for FITA Olympic Bow, FITA Compound Bow, and FITA Barebow. USA Archery Traditional Rules are in effect for Longbow and Traditional Recurve.
The tournament will be held on 6/21/2014 & 6/22/2014 starting at 9:00 am. There is open practice from 8:00 am to 8:45 am.
Official practice is on the tournament field on 6/20/2014 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The tournament will be held at Memorial Park, 194 Hope St., Mansfield, MA.
